Job Purpose:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a trusted advisor and consultant to the business units, aligning HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and needs. This role involves providing strategic HR support, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Partnership
    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the business goals.
    • Partner with leadership to provide strategic input on HR matters, including workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
  2. Employee Relations
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees.
    • Handle complex employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management.
  3. Talent Management
    • Support the recruitment process by collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring of qualified candidates.
    • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
    • Develop and implement talent development programs to enhance employee skills and career progression.
  4. Performance Management
    • Facilitate the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
    • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues.
  5. Change Management
    • Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication and minimal disruption to the business.
    • Assist in organisational development activities to enhance business performance and employee engagement.
  6. HR Policy and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and regulations.
    • Develop and update HR policies and procedures as necessary.
  7. Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Use HR metrics and analytics to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on HR activities and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CIPD qualification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a HR generalist or business partner role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
